Long Island Futsal League Update

The Long Island Futsal League will be returning for our 29th season starting January 2026. We will utilize the school districts (Middle Country - Centereach, Newfield HS and Connetquot HS and Our Savior Lutheran Church gymnasium facilities in SUFFOLK County

All children spectators in the facility must be directly supervised by an adult and sitting in the bleachers - parents should also escort their young child if needed for a bathroom break. Absolutely no infants in strollers or bassinets are allowed into the playing area. Thank you for your understanding.

LONG ISLAND FUTSAL(5-A‐SIDE SOCCER) LEAGUE

The Long Island Futsal League is a recreational club with LIJSL and sanctioned by Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association

Format

Eight game season, games are 50 minutes in length
All coaches must be listed on the team roster have an approved current background check and Safesport with ENYYSA
League play starts January 3rd & 4th 2026
(some divisions may start Dec. 28th, 2025)

GAME DAYS -
SATURDAYS: BU14 & 15 (from 2 pm to 10 pm) at Newfield HS and some U9 - U12 (from 12pm-8pm at Our Savior School, Oakdale & Ronkonkoma MS
SUNDAYS: U7 - U19 (U7/U8 may play on Saturdays depending on total registrations)
Makeup games may be played on Sat. eve or on the first two weekends in March
Teams allowed one conflict weekend and must be entered by the registration deadline
Schedule changes always occur due to team conflicts, weather and school cancellations - Do not schedule other events not entered as a conflict (i.e. indoor tournaments) without communicating with LI Futsal first, so we can try to make an accommodation.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: December 1st, 2025
Team Cost: U7/U8 (pee wee) $475 (one referee)

* no additional discount for the U7/U8 divisions and must pay by Check, Venmo or ZELLE

GU9 -GU13 $975 (one referee)
GU14 - GHS $995 (two referees)
BU13-BU19 $995 (two referees)
"Sister" Team rostering:(can split outdoor team & roster players on two or more futsal teams) players can roster on both teams
Age groups of similar ability may be combined to better balance the competition as futsal is less dependent upon size, speed and aggressiveness than outdoor soccer. For example: B level (D3 and lower) teams may be combined
Tentative Division Brackets & schedule posted for coaches to review prior to being final
Referee fees included
* player fee of $10.00 per player for ENYYSA insurance is additional
Futsal is 5 v5 (including goalie), Roster size: Min. = 6 Max. = 18
Discounts for sister teams & clubs or trainers registering multiple teams
Participation medals for U7 - U8; 1st place awards for U9 - U19
Teams may be scheduled for two games on a day due to a makeup or if the division does not have an even number of teams
The last games may occur the first two weeks of March due to weather cancellations, school gym availability or other unforeseen circumstances
Makeup games may be scheduled on a Sat. if your team usually plays on a Sunday, or on a Sunday if your team usually plays on a Saturday.
Registration for the 2026 season will open Sep. 1st

2 teams - $25 per team, 3-10 teams,$35 per team, > 10 - $40 per team

* The U7/U8 divisions are not eligible for further discounts; however the team(s) can be counted in the total of teams registered by a club for the purpose of qualifying for the multi-club discount for their U9 - U19 teams

Welcome!

MISSION OF Long Island Futsal League Inc.
To provide an environment for players of all levels and ages to play and learn the game of futsal. The Long Island Futsal League will do this by:

- Focusing on skill development and fun vs. winning.
- Utilizing US Soccer and futsal certified referees who understand the spirit and art of the game.
- Matching teams of similar skill in appropriate divisions and age groups where possible

History of the Long Island Futsal League

Long Island Futsal, as of October 1, 2018, is a member recreational club in the Long Island Junior Soccer League and affiliated with Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association and US Soccer. Long Island Futsal was incorporated and approved as a non profit organization in 1996 by New York State. The league’s mission was and continues to be to promote the sport of futsal, with it’s inherent skill developmental properties, for the youth of Long Island. Long Island Futsal has grown into one of the largest youth futsal leagues in the United States, and the largest indoor youth league of any kind on Long Island. The 2025 the Long Island Futsal season had 312 teams with over 2800 players participating. Our goal is to bring the excitement, fun and developmental aspects of futsal to the greatest number of participants and to continue to raise the level of play in a competitive and fun environment .

Long Island Futsal’s Winter League features teams in every age group and gender from U8 through High School. High-quality officiating, fair and balanced competition superior facilities and outstanding service has kept coaches, players and parents returning to play year after year.
